Desde los primeros días hemos trabajado junto a redes de personas voluntarias para apoyar la entrega de alimentos, insumos de higiene y otros artículos esenciales a familias afectadas por el terremoto.
Al mismo tiempo, estamos acompañando a mujeres con las que ya trabajábamos antes de esta emergencia. El terremoto ha profundizado situaciones de vulnerabilidad preexistentes y ha incrementado los riesgos de protección para muchas de ellas. Por ello, además de atender necesidades urgentes, estamos identificando a las mujeres y familias que enfrentan mayores riesgos y movilizando recursos para brindarles apoyo oportuno.
Nuestro equipo de voluntariado está activo y realizando un levantamiento de necesidades con enfoque de género para identificar a las mujeres y familias que requieren apoyo prioritario. Las contribuciones económicas son la forma más efectiva de ayudar en este momento, ya que nos permiten responder de manera rápida y flexible a las necesidades específicas de cada caso, además de brindar acompañamiento jurídico y psicosocial cuando es necesario.

Desde 2018 trabajamos activamente para transformar el dolor en esperanza. Hemos creado espacios de asistencia, donde florecieron proyectos que cambiaron vidas: atención psicolegal para mujeres víctimas de violencia de género, un comedor comunitario, clubes de lectura que fomentan el empoderamiento, círculos de acompañamiento y apoyo, huertas urbanas para sembrar futuro, ludotecas que son refugio y esparcimiento, espacios de acompañamiento comunitario para mujeres migrantes y formación para el emprendimiento. Aún queda mucho por hacer y necesitamos recursos para avanzar. Tu apoyo puede marcar la diferencia entre la desesperanza y una nueva oportunidad.

From the very beginning, we have worked alongside networks of volunteers to support the distribution of food, hygiene supplies, and other essential items to families affected by the earthquake.
At the same time, we are supporting women with whom we were already working before this emergency. The earthquake has exacerbated pre-existing vulnerabilities and increased protection risks for many of them. Therefore, in addition to addressing urgent needs, we are identifying the women and families facing the greatest risks and mobilizing resources to provide them with timely support.
Our volunteer team is actively conducting a gender-sensitive needs assessment to identify the women and families who require priority support. Financial contributions are the most effective way to help at this time, as they allow us to respond quickly and flexibly to the specific needs of each case, in addition to providing legal and psychosocial support when necessary.

Since 2018, we’ve been actively working to transform pain into hope. We have created spaces for assistance, where projects that changed lives have flourished: psycho-legal support for women who are victims of gender-based violence, a community soup kitchen, reading clubs that promote empowerment, support and companionship circles, urban gardens to sow the seeds of the future, playrooms that serve as refuges and places for recreation, community support spaces for migrant women, and entrepreneurship training.
